Secrets From the Ages

Chapter 11

The Pieces

Only the Players can think outside the game and can grasp the concept of pretended cause (see Chapter #5), and all of the other concepts given here, especially the ones in the following chapter on religion. Most people simply do not grasp them. Thus, there is indicated the existence of "Pieces" (and "Broken Pieces").

Pieces then, are people who can think only within the game and thus cannot understand most of the concepts given here. They are in almost every case certain that they were created by someone or something, and that is true. The Pieces were created by the Players, some of them on purpose, and some of them inadvertently over the millions of years. If you think otherwise, look at the thirty plus wars now in progress on Earth. They are all examples of Pieces gone wild. Players never sink that low. While I write these pages the Serbs are out killing and burning complete villages in the province of Kosovo. They are taking whole families out and shooting them. The Russian government is protesting and the Russian people are angry and hate us for trying to stop the Serbs. The Russians are, in effect, saying, "The Serbs are our friends so it is OK for them to kill."

Of course, there is a lot more to it than just what we see. No war ever happens unless someone stands to gain. More than one half million people were cleansed in Africa a couple of years ago, but no one attempted to stop that atrocity. The right people did not stand to gain. Sorry, but Players never sink that low. The Pieces simply are not and cannot be infinite Gods come here to play in a Disney Land. The Pieces can never rise above or think above the game, but the Players often do.

The wars are created by Broken Pieces, and the Pieces just follow along. The Pieces were created in the image of the Players (the image of God) and are subjected to the same rules, and to a great extent have the same characteristics as the Players. However, they have a great deal less control over the mind than the Players, and are thus pushed toward doing terrible things by their emotions. They are often concerned with only things on the negative side, and although they are almost always religious, they have no concept of spiritual things. (Spirituality is not a religious thing.)

The one key point here is they are sure that they were created by Someone or some God. The Pieces are men of good will. Only Broken Pieces make war. Only the Players grasp the concept that beliefs are not necessarily proven facts, the Pieces do not, thus they have been willing to kill one another for thousands of years. The Pieces believed in Communism. One hundred and ten million or so people were killed, yet Communism was not a proven fact.

Adult Pieces cannot understand that a belief is not a proven fact. Neither the Players nor the Pieces are willing to kill for something that is not proven, but the Pieces believe that their beliefs are proven. Adult Pieces cannot understand the concept that their beliefs might not be proven facts, but adult Players can understand this concept instantly. There are very few Players on Earth at this time. Less than one Player per 100,000 people. The test is, can one understand the principles given here? All religious people cannot. New age people cannot, except for a rare few.

If you believe that religious people are more than Pieces then look how they have been killing one another for thousands of years. Players will fight and kill when they have to, but they never start wars and they never murder, and they never torture. If a Player is a General he is in that capacity to prevent bloodshed as opposed to just killing the enemy. Players can have terrible problems and can do stupid things, and can teach themselves lessons about terrible things with much physical and mental pain, but they never stoop to starting wars, killing, and murder. The Players are men of peace in any given age, and they are almost always considered the great men of any age, but they are often betrayed. They will kill to protect others and will often shoot first if they feel that it is necessary.

Hitler and Stalin are both examples of the Broken Pieces. They had no thought of integrity. In order for Earth to be saved from destruction in the distant future children must be taught to understand that belief does not constitute proof. It simply cannot be taught to adult Pieces. It will be possible to have peace on Earth, but only when a large group of people who are influential in the world understand that beliefs are not proof. And, of course, many other things. The only way we will be able to do this is to teach the children. It is going to take several hundred years. This will only happen when the Players take enough responsibility to see that the children are taught correctly. That is not being done now. If you are a Player, you already know that you have lived before, and that you will live again. So when you come back to Earth the next time, it will be a much more fun place if the wars are gone.

How are the Pieces created? There is an automatic process that Pieces and Players engage in that creates more Pieces. This process is not a part of this book at this time. After you finish reading this book, you can request the Paper "Creating Pieces" if you are interested, but only if you believe in this book. If you don't believe in this book, why would you care? The creation of Pieces has been verified using electronic truth detection (parts of a lie detector that prove the truth instead of a lie). The truth detector has been verified more times than a lie detector by certain groups. The truth detector has been tested several million times throughout Earth.

Pieces that die are often considered ghosts. When a body of an Player dies in this universe, the mind leaves the body. The mind is not the brain. The brain is merely the connection between his mind and the body. The Piece is then operating in this universe through this mind, and any ethereal body that he might have created. At the point of body death, the ethereal body and other entities that the Player may have inadvertently created are released. These identities, or minds, or souls, or ghosts, or whatever you might call them then go on to the ethereal plane or return to take another body. The less strong ones simply wander around and finally fade away to nothing. The Pieces obviously will make less strong identities. They are often confused and many of them never go beyond death. If they believe that they are dead then they will simply fade away after a time. As you can see, there are always plenty of identities or souls or minds ready to take all the new bodies that the population explosion has created.

Read the chapter on religion. I doubt that you will think that God creates them. The Players are responsible to their creations, the Pieces. It is up to the Players to make Earth a better place, or rather to see that it becomes better. A God, or a carpenter, or an artist, is responsible to his creations for the condition of his creations. The religious people have it 180 degrees backwards. God is responsible to his creations for how he made them and the problems that they are having. The creations are never responsible to their creator. The creator made them the way the are, regardless of the argument that he gave them free will. Their conditions or actions cannot be their fault. The Players are responsible to their creations even if the creations were made inadvertently. The Players are responsible for people. They must work to see that their creations do not suffer unduly. Only when the Players really take responsibility for the conditions that exist here on Earth will there be a chance of peace and a really decent civilization. There are suggestions in later chapters that tell how this can be accomplished.

One other point that I would like to make. Pieces on rare occasions graduate to become Players. This is possible. The Piece simply increases his integrity and, you must see that as one increases his integrity, his connection to God increases. That is to say, his feeling of one with God increases and his ability to love self increases, and his confidence increases. In fact an increase in integrity increases means an increase in all other positive attributes. And, of course, the same thing is true with Players, as their integrity increases, their oneness with God increases. God is total integrity.
